Congratulations to all my teammates on a great year. For those not playing fall ball get some rest because we are in it to win it next year.

I think people should realize too that if you choose the first option (At someone's house) then you should also be offering up your house when the time comes for the party Smile

Biance out for season with broken jaw

MembersWord has come in late yesterday evening that the Just a Bit Outside Softball Club's starting shortstop for the mens team, Mike Biance, has been placed on the 60-day DL and will be out for the rest of the Summer season and most of the Fall season with a broken jaw.

The injury was sustained while playing for a club-approved affiliate team Tuesday night. Reports indicate that Biance collided with an outfielder while attempting to make a play on a pop-up. No word on whether or not the other player involved in the collision was injured.

Biance successfully had surgery on Wednesday to repair his jaw. It is expected that he will be out a minimum of 8 weeks and possibly longer.

The club is currently working the waiver wire to see who they can call up to fill the roster spot for the remainder of the season. One club official, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that the club will most likely move Ryan Phelps-Franco to shortstop and call up outfielder Steve Wright from the club's Schenectacy affiliate to fill the roster spot.

The club sends its' best wishes to Mike and his family while he is out, and hopes he makes a speedy recovery.
