Congratulations to all my teammates on a great year. For those not playing fall ball get some rest because we are in it to win it next year.

I think people should realize too that if you choose the first option (At someone's house) then you should also be offering up your house when the time comes for the party

Coed slumps into playoffs, drops doubleheader
The Just a Bit Outside Softball Club's Coed B2 team was hoping to use these last couple of games as a momentum-builder heading into the playoffs next week, having already secured a spot. Instead, they got outslugged twice on Tuesday night, dropping both ends of a doubleheader, losing the first game to Marsh Farms 20 - 4, then losing to the Misfits by a similar 19 - 5 score.Unlike the last couple of games the team has played in, they were just never able to get out of the gate offensively, scoring runs only once they were down by a substantial amount to their opponent. Against Marsh, they were down 4-0 before scoring 1 run in the 3rd and down 20 - 1 before scoring a final 3 runs in the 5th. Against Misfits, they were down 17 - 0 before scoring all 5 runs in the 4th inning.
The offensive stars were very few and far between last night. Between the two games, Art Wise had 4 hits, Ryan Phelps-Franco had 3 hits, and Meg & Chuck Rossbach reached based all four times up (Chuck had a single and three fielders' choice; Meg had one hit, 2 walks and a fielder's choice).
Defensively, the team didn't play bad at all. Against Marsh Farms, the problems came in the long ball, in that they hit 5 home runs during the game with many of them being of the multi-run variety (Todd Breen from Marsh Farms had two 3-run homeruns during the game). Against the Misfits, the runs came in smaller batches, but they were scoring their runs using well-placed hits to the gaps in the outfield.
The coed team ends their season at 5-11 and is awaiting to hear who their opponent will be in the playoffs (current projections have them playing either KPMG or the Ill-Tempered Sea Bass in the first round).
