Congratulations to all my teammates on a great year. For those not playing fall ball get some rest because we are in it to win it next year.

I think people should realize too that if you choose the first option (At someone's house) then you should also be offering up your house when the time comes for the party

Coed lose, Men win in split-field doubleheader
In an odd split-field doubleheader, the Just a Bit Outside Softball Club's Coed B2 and Mens B3 each had a game last night... at different fields. While the Coed team dropped a decision to Terminal Tavern II 13 - 4 in a game that was a lot closer than the score indicates, the Mens team picked up its' first win of the fall season with a 16 - 9 victory over Wildwood.
In the 6pm coed game at Arbor Hill, the team got down early to Terminal Tavern II, but managed to bring the game back to 4 - 3 before Tavern put up a 5-run inning late in the game followed by a 4-run 6th. The club added a final run in the 7th on a solo home run by Chris Furman to give the game it's final score.
In the 7:30pm mens game at Coyne Field, the team broke out to an 11-0 lead after 3 innings in an offensive display they haven't been able to do too often this year. But Wildwood started to come back, scoring 4 runs in the 4th and 4 more in the 5th. But the club continued to plug away at putting up runs, including an inside-the-park solo home run by AJ Haynes.
The coed team's record goes to 0 - 2. Their next game is on Friday, October 2 at 9pm over at Firemans Field.
The mens team's record goes to 1 - 1. Their next game is on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00pm over at Field of Dreams.
