Congratulations to all my teammates on a great year. For those not playing fall ball get some rest because we are in it to win it next year.

I think people should realize too that if you choose the first option (At someone's house) then you should also be offering up your house when the time comes for the party Smile

Wise performs well at ASG, but on losing end

NewsLive blog done on jabosoftball.com:

(8:04pm) Live at the All-Star game are Coach Furman and the team Athletic Supporter, Kristie
(8:06pm) Update: picking teams, art was not – I repeat, not – picked last! Hopefully they have an XXL for him!
(8:09pm) Art’s 2010 All-Star bonus: new Nike cleats, purchased by Art’s best friend, Art.
(8:18pm) Art, on the red team, is the away team vs the home blue team. Art is the first base coach to start the game
(8:21pm) Noticed by the athletic supporter, Mrs. Wise is not in attendance. Apparently, Art did not leave a tooth under his pillow last night.
(8:25pm) Art is starting at first base. Fielders are already adjusting to cover for him with a lefty leading off for the blue team.
(8:27pm) Meteorologist Arthur Wise during the first: “Wind is pushing to the left”… whatever the hell that means.
(8:33pm) After one inning, it’s American (blue team) 3, National (red) 0. Art will be hitting second in the 2nd inning.
(8:36pm) Art’s first at-bat, a hard hit grounder… to the pitcher. 1-3 putout.
(8:45pm) End of 2, Art’s all-star team is down 7-0, and the comeback does not look likely. I need a few more beers to get through this.
(8:51pm) From the “wisdom” of Frank Rogers: “Beer is at two dollars a can… this is better than prohibition…”
(9:04pm) They are starting to get debacle. 14 – 4 American after 3. Art up third this inning.
(9:07pm) Art’s second at-bat, a bleeder between first and second, he managed to only get a single. No triple this time.
(9:13pm) Art, with two outs in the field: “Ok, let’s turn two here!” [Editor’s Note: to end the inning, the batter grounded to the shortstop, who flipped to second for the third out. Art, however, stood on first waiting for the double play turn for about 10 seconds before realizing it was the third out]
(9:13pm) At the end of 4, it’s still anybody’s game here… 14 – 4 American.
(9:22pm) At the end of 5, the national league is staging a comeback, it’s 14 – 4 American.
(9:25pm) Art’s third at-bat, he drilled one deep to the short right-center fielder, right into the glove of the short fielder. After that hit, we’re starting a collection to send Art to the batting cages.
(9:29pm) We found our new first basemen… it’s anyone but Art. :-)
(9:32pm) And that’s the game. Art’s team loses, 14 – 4. Art’s box score: 1 – 3, nothing substantial, but no errors, either.
